What are DegenClownz?
DegenClownz is a community based project on a mission to raise awareness around mental health. As a collective, the goal is to become a symbol of mental health advocacy and support.
We aim to do this by leveraging the power of the NFT space and community, as a united team, with our initial collection of 6666 DegenClownz on the Ethereum blockchain.
Why mental health?
As a team, we wanted to create a strong community around a common goal. Mental health is a big issue close to our hearts. Especially in these turbulent times we live in, many of us are suffering in silence, but it doesn’t have to be that way.
We truly believe as a collective group, we can have a big impact, raise awareness and support people and causes for better mental health. That’s our goal :)
What’s the price and supply?
There will be a total of 6666 DegenClownz in the collection. A small amount of the supply (TBC, but around 50) will be held by the team, for charity auctions, giveaways, and team membership.
The DegenClownz mint price for the pre-sale allowlist mint and public mint are yet to be confirmed. We will update the community as soon once the price is decided.
What do I get when I mint DegenClownz?
When you mint DegenClownz, you are minting an NFT (non-fungible token) on the Ethereum blockchain. This will include a DegenClownz image, linked with it’s own traits!
How can I mint DegenClownz?
When the mint is open, DegenClownz will be mintable directly from this site. You will need a Metamask wallet and to be connected to the Ethereum network, along with some ETH to cover the mint price and gas fee :)
What is the allowlist and how can I get on it?
There will be an allowlist for early project supporters, that will allow for pre-sale minting before the public mint is open.
Places on the allowlist will be given out mainly over our Discord, Twitter and Instagram. Follow us and join in for your chance to get an allowlist spot :)
What is the Big Top Charity Drop & Charity Auction?
30% of initial mint will be reserved for the Big Top Charity Drop, which will be donated to charitable causes in the mental health space. This will be decided by DegenClownz holders.
We will also be auctioning a selection of the DegenClownz collection, with proceeds also being donated to the cause or causes we decide on as a community. Go team!
What is the Joker Loot Share?
We want to give back to our community and the people who support the project.
To add a bit of excitement, there are four ‘Jokers’ in the DegenClownz collection. 8% of the initial mint will be reserved for the Joker Loot Share. The pot will be split between the holders of the Jokers (~2% each). Whoop whoop!
What is the Chuckles Treasury?
10% of initial mint will be reserved for the Chuckles Treasury. This pot will be used to fund any ongoing project costs and any Project Chuckles costs.
What is Project Chuckles?
What will be the next steps for the project after mint? The honest answer is we do not know yet. We’re a ‘no promises’ project, focused on raising awareness through the power of community. If we can do this, we have succeeded.
That being said, the Chuckles Treasury will act as a funding pot when we need it for future activities and costs (code name Project Chuckles).
